Canoeing on Barker lake in northern Minnesota

Looking for interesting places to do photographs...

She spotted this old tree leaning over the water

And exclaimed:

"I tink I can climb dat tree RomTom!"

I answered quickly,

"No! It is not safe!! Think Of the sharp dry slivers!!"

She eyed the tree keenly, thoughtfully and said, very deliberately:

"I tink I CAN climb dat tree RomTom!"

And so she did...

This mother of two children,

Sure-footed and knowing...
